Are you wanting to provide access for the lookup to the CEO's iPad or are you looking to block it? And, do you want that to be just for the CEO and opposite of everybody else?
In 8.5.2 and earlier, the lookup was done on the Traveler server. In 8.5.3, Traveler changed the lookup to be done on the user's mail server with the user's ACL. Therefore, it should more closely match what the user sees when lookup is done in the Notes client on the PC.
The lookup isn't done on the server until you type 3 characters (because 1 or 2 just returns too many matches and is basically unusable), so make sure you have typed in at least that many characters.
After that, it is probably best to open a PMR so that we can collect logs and see what else might be going on.
